Black Hair Care Professional,
I
hope this letter finds you in good health and spirits.
My name is Felicia Drummond, and I am Membership Director
for the NATIONAL BLACK HAIR ASSOCIATION (NBHA). I am working
with Local Chapters in your area to promote Membership
in the most comprehensive Black Hair Care Professional
organization in the country.
The
NBHA represents the collective voice of Black Hair Care
Professionals across the country. Our membership base
has grown at a rate of 30% for the past 5 years. It is
time for Black Hair Care to be recognized as the business
and cultural centers that we are!
2nd
quarter 2003 will mark the launch of WWW.NATIONALBHA.ORG.
This website will serve as the meeting place of serious
Black Hair Care Professionals from across the country
and abroad. A few of the business enhancer programs to
be facilitated by the site include:

NATIONAL BLACK HAIR ASSOCIATION FOUNDATION- This non-profit
entity is instrumental in providing grants and no paper
improvement loans to NBHA Members. Typical grants range
in value from $1,000- $5,000. Secondary education grants
are also available.
NBHA
Mobile Beauty and Barber Supply Program- NBHA Members
order supplies to be delivered to their shop with a deferred
payment schedule. This service will be available in Maryland,
Delaware, Pennsylvania, New Jersey and Virginia, beginning
2nd quarter 2003. Tennessee, Arkansas, Georgia, Florida
and Louisiana will have service beginning 3rd quarter
2003. Alabama, South Carolina, Texas, and Missouri will
have service beginning 4th quarter 2003.
NATIONAL
BLACK HAIR ASSOCIATION MODELS- The NBHA will partner with
certified photographers and agencies to ensure that all
industry representations are accurate and representative
of our quality of work. Photo Shoots will be held at various
locations domestic and abroad. All NBHA Spokes models
will originate from this program.
These
are just a few of the exciting endeavors that the NBHA
will be involved with for 2003.
